A lunar eclipse during which the moon will turn a deep blood red colour, will be visible in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Astronomy Ireland is inviting everyone to go outdoors and take a look at the skies from 3 am tomorrow morning.
David Moore of Astronomy Ireland said the phenomenon will be visible from Ireland, no matter what the weather is like:
"We always tell people ignore the weather forecast it's the full moon that's going to undergo this particular phenomenon. and you'll be able to see the full moon or even tiny breaks in the clouds. so somebody even if the weather is dreadful is going to see it. It may not be the whole eclipses visible in a perfectly clear sky. That might happen though, but we don't want people to look at it three o'clock say cloudy go to bed and by four o'clock and glorious, be clear so keep checking the sky don't, don't go by the weather forecast."
