The Sexual Health Centre in Cork says its new location on South Mall is part of its plan to destigmatise speaking about sexual health.
Over 8,000 people called the helpline last year and 870 people visited the centre for HIV rapid testing.
Speaking to RedFM News, Muire O’Farrell from the Sexual Health Centre in Cork says there is no shame in someone looking after their sexual health:
"We used to be based by the Mercy Hospital and now we've moved to 18 South Mall. It really is in line with our strategic plan so it brings sexual health into the heart of the city and just makes it an every day part of peoples lives and normalises it. So we're visible, we're present, people walk past it there's no shame, no stigma, it's just something that we're all part of and we should all be comfortable with."
