Why not make a Christmas card for an elderly Cork person this Winter?

Christmas is the time for giving, so why not do something selfless and make a card for someone who is elderly, isolated or vulnerable this festive season.

Friendly Call is a volunteer Cork service which aim to keep elderly and isolated people company through regular check-in phone calls.

They are now appealing for people to hand make Christmas cards to send to those who could do with a pick me up.

At the moment, the team have over 350 people that they contact over at least three times per week.

As it is now December, Friendly Call are preparing to send out their yearly Christmas cards.

In order to get involved Friendly Call want people to send them blank, handmade Christmas cards that they can then write personalised greetings in.

If you would like to send a blank card, send it before December 10th and you can post it too:
