The Boil Water Notices on the Macroom and Whitegate Public Water Supply have both been lifted.
Uisce Eireann has confirmed, following consultation with the HSE, customers can now resume normal use of the public water supply.
The notice was issued for Macroom on 18 July to protect the health of around 4,700 customers following a combination of elevated levels of turbidity and operational issues at Macroom Water Treatment Plant.
The notice for Whitegate was issued on 18 October to protect the health of around 10,000 customers following increased turbidity and deterioration of the raw water source putting the drinking water disinfection process at the plant at risk of being compromised.
