The Great Resignation is an opportunity for businesses to ask how can they offer a better work environment for their employees.

That's according to a HR expert following a report that found 56% of Gen Z workers plan to leave their jobs in the next two years.

Younger employees say burnout, climate change and the cost of living crisis are some of the main reasons why they plan to branch out into a different career.

Director of Human Capital at Deloitte Gary Notley says companies need to make work more accessible for their employees or they will lose them:

"It's an employee's market these days with talent, attraction and retention being the number one challenge for as recognized by CEOs. So, the great resignation has been bandied around as the term and I suppose we're looking at this more as a great reimagination, as a great opportunity for organizations to improve the work that the workforce is doing."
