Just half of victims of crime were satisfied with how Gardaí handled their case.
An online survey carried out in 2020 found 26% said they got "too little" information, while 30% said they didn't get a satisfactory update on the status of their investigation.
8 in 10 respondents said they trusted Gardaí, while sexual offences and human trafficking were identified as the top two policing priorities.
