Speaking about the 'cost of living' announcement yesterday, the Labour TD said:
"It has now turned into an emergency, it's quite clear we're going to need a mini budget, we're going to need an awful lot more than the moneys that were announced last night, if government were serious about it, they would have supported their own cost of living motion two weeks ago on the Dail, they didn't do that, and sort of tinkering around the edges rather than having a proper analysis of the reasons as to why the cost of living in Ireland has become and now why it's turned into an emergency."
