The Housing Minister says government is aware of the challenges that come with the current homeless situation.
However, Darragh O'Brien says the most important thing the government can do, is increase supply.
It follows the publication of housing charity Threshold's annual report, which found over 50% of private tenants who contacted the group were at risk of homelessness.
