Gardaí believe a man - who has died within the last five years - may be crucial to solving the Kerry Babies case.
Today is the 39th anniversary of when Baby John was found on a beach in Kerry in 1984.
Gardaí are satisfied a couple arrested last month in relation to the case are the new-born's parents.
Ralph Riegel from the Irish Independent says they're now looking at the possibility a dead man connected to the family could hold the key to the case:
"The defence solicitor, Padraig O'Connell, has stressed that proving that the couple that were questioned were the actual parents of Baby John is one thing, but DNA does not explain the circumstances, or the sequence of events, that led to baby John's death. So what Gardaí are doing is looking at the entire picture".
