Anyone who is planning to cook on the barbeque this weekend is being urged to make sure it's properly cleaned first.
Temperatures are set to hit 24 degrees in parts this weekend, with the best of the sunshine in the South East.
Safe Food's advising anyone who wants to cook outdoors to scrub the barbeque first and use a meat-thermometer.
Chief Scientist Dr Linda Gordon explains how best to use them:
"So if you have a meat thermometer, what we would advise is, first of all, if it's on the barbecue, take the meat off the barbecue. And pierce the thickest part with the metre monitor and you're looking for it to reach 75 degrees and then you know thoroughly cooked and safe to eat".
