A man has been arrested after an aggravated burglary which left a resident injured in Cork.
Gardaí were alerted to the incident in Mayfield at around 12.40am.
Three armed men entered the home in the Lagan Grove area.
They confronted the residents of the home before fleeing.
A man in his 30's who was in the house was injured and taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for non life threatening injures.
Gardaí arrested a man also aged in his 30's at the scene and a technical examination will be carried out.
Anyone who was in the area on the north side of the city between midnight and 1 o clock this morning and has any information is asked to contact gardai.
