Walk-in vaccination clinics will be open to those without an appointment this bank holiday weekend.

Visitors to Cork, and locals alike, will be able to get their first or second shot of the Pfizer vaccine in City Hall, between 1 and 4 this afternoon.

Meanwhile the vaccination centre in Bantry will be open for walk-ins on Monday, between 1 and 4.

They take place as the highest number of Covid-19 cases in nine months was reported last evening.

2,466 people tested positive for the virus.

457 Covid patients were in hospital - with 90 in intensive care.

The Chief Medical Officer, Tony Holohan, is urging people to be cautious over the bank holiday weekend, as the Covid situation worsens.
