A new social housing development in Ballincollig has been officially opened by the Taoiseach

The houses at Westview include 44 new lifetime homes for Respond tenants and are a mix of apartments, townhouses and duplex homes, all with private open spaces.

Jamie O'Hara is in Ballincollig for RedFM News:

"124 tenants have moved into these 44 new homes, bringing the number of Respond tenants in Cork to 1,596. Speaking at the official opening the Taoiseach says housing developments such as this one are more than just about bricks and mortar - they're about providing sustainable communities and excellent quality homes, allowing people to enjoy comfort and security. The homes here in Westview provided by Respond, in partnership with the Council, are funded by a combination of private finance from the Housing Finance Agency, and a loan from the Department of Housing. Respond has a further 633 homes across 25 schemes planned across the city and county. Jamie O'Hara, RedFM News, Ballincollig".
