The Taoiseach says he has the same concerns as Fianna Fáil councillors in the city about the National Transport Authority's draft plans for BusConnects Cork.

The €600 million proposal would create 12 new strategic transport corridors for Cork.

The Irish Examiner is reporting this morning that Micheál Martin says believes the NTA's plan has created "extraordinary anxiety among people across the city" and that "elderly people are crying because of the letters that have been sent to their homes".

The paper is reporting that the Taoiseach criticised the NTA, which he says could have handled the matter in a "better way".
