Business owners on MacCurtain Street say inconsiderate street parking is having a direct impact on their businesses.

It comes amid calls for towing to be implemented on the street which will officially be opened as a two way street by the Tánaiste on Saturday.

Buses will also begin using both ways of the street this weekend and Bus Éireann says some bus stops have been relocated.

Speaking to RedFM News, Michael Wall who owns Salvagem on MacCurtain Street says people parking illegally is costing him money:

"Because of the parking and the free for all here, I have couriers coming to my shop who can't find a parking spot, he then left and went on to do the rest of his jobs and I missed my slot, it cost €380, which I had to pay."
