University College Cork BDS says the will to have demands met is keeping the encampment going.

Tents were set up yesterday evening on the quad by members of UCC BDS who want the college to condemn the Israeli State for the ongoing war in Gaza.

The students are demanding the college cut ties with Israeli institutions.

Speaking to RedFM news. Mikey Rose from the UCC BDS movement says although it was a long night, they plan on sticking it out:

"Not ideal weather to start with, we've managed broadly to stay dry. But it's you know, it's not easy conditions like, you know, we are cold, wet and we're tired. It's, you know, our will to stick it out for the urgency of these demands that's getting us going at the moment".
