It's an employee market according to a Human Resources expert.
Many industries are facing widespread staff shortages and skill deficiencies.
Figures from the Department of Social Protection show 45 per cent of those on the PUP moved jobs after the pandemic.
Caroline Reidy, Managing Director of the HR Suite, explains why businesses are so short on staff:
"I think a lot of people went home during COVID, so we're missing a big chunk of people. And also, a lot of people maybe don't want to do specific types of jobs because they changed career or sector during COVID. And people want to do different things. A lot of people have upskilled as well. A lot of people took that opportunity to do training etc.".
