Shelbourne manager Joey O'Brien says his side "might have to suffer at times" in the second leg of their Europa league qualifier tonight.

The Reds take a 2-1 advantage into the return leg of their third round tie against Rijeka.

Should Shels progress past the Croatian outfit, they'll be through to the play-off round and will be guaranteed group stage football in the Conference League.

O'Brien expects it to be a tough contest and says the Tolka Park crowd will have a big part to play in the game.

"We might have to suffer at times, out of possession and stuff like that and to have that fan base there and being really loud and you know they're supporting you. It's always that added bonus. I'm sure at the start there'll be excitement because of what's at stake. It's about the boys going out and putting their best foot forward and putting on a show and making sure the crowd is engaged in the game."

Kick off is at 7:45pm.
