Cork!! Help us to Make Some Noise for Focus Ireland and raise much needed funds on May 1st!
Musicians, bands, communities and schools across Cork are being asked to ‘Make Some Noise’ to help end homelessness on Friday 1 May, as Focus Ireland launches its new nationwide fundraising and awareness campaign in partnership with Cork’s Red FM.
The initiative will see musicians, singers, DJs, choirs and community groups organise performances or join live events across the county and country to raise awareness and funds to help end homelessness for good.
'Make Some Noise' is proudly supported in Cork’s Red FM who will amplify activities as communities come together across the region to host gigs, concerts and events and stage their own noise moments to raise funds and awareness of the work being done by Focus Ireland.
Red FM already have an exciting day planned for Friday May 1st to create noise across Cork City & County, we will have a Rave to start the day with Red FM Breakfast with KC from 6am. We will feature some Jazz bands on The Neil Prendeville Show and we'll have an exciting afternoon with Ciara Revins as she'll be joined by musicians from 12-4pm.

Primary schools across Cork are invited to take part in a ‘national noise moment’ on Friday 1 May by assembling in their school yard, gym or hall at 11am to make as much noise as possible for one minute by shouting, singing, clapping, banging drums or making noise whatever way they like while raising funds for Focus Ireland by donating €2 per child.

In 2025, Focus Ireland supported 120 households, including 50 families, through tenancies in Cork. A total 86 adults and 69 children were provided long term housing while 15 young people were accommodated in youth housing, while 24 people were helped to exit homelessness.
