Hotels are facing fresh criticism over alleged price gouging.
Arts Minister Patrick O'Donovan says hotels are 'routinely' engaging in dynamic pricing.
It follows a number of high-profile events in Dublin, including the College Football Classic and Oasis concerts.
Cork Hotelier and President of the Irish Hotels Federation Michael Magner says he understands why hotels are being criticised:
"I had a look this morning ahead of the next large scale event coming to the capital, because no doubt about it I'm going to be questioned about it, and the fact is Dublin is full.
"However there are a few hotels available for sale, and the prices that those hotels are looking for, I can't defend those prices, because they're too much and too high."
