Wind energy provided nearly half Ireland's power last month.
47% of Ireland's electricity was generated from wind energy in October.
According to Wind Energy Ireland, it means so far this year, a third of the country's electricity demand was met by the renewable source.
However, it's warned there's a long way to go before a fall in wholesale electricity prices, will impact consumer bills.
