Two men have been charged as part of an investigation into a gang impersonating Gardai.
Gardai have been investigating claims people were pretending to be Gardai and taking cash from people's homes.
It focused on 15 counties over the past ten months, particularly the East and the Midlands.
Five people in total were arrested.
Three have been released without charge and two are due before Carlow District Court this morning.
