The Health Minister says the number of Monkeypox cases here is 'relatively low' at about 70.

It comes as smallpox vaccines will be extended to those at most risk.

Stephen Donnelly announced yesterday gay and bi-sexual men and men who have sex with men will be offered the doses.

He says there's meetings scheduled with various groups this week to make sure 'pathways are open':

"The number of cases in Ireland at the moment remains relatively low, it's in and around 70 cases. We have received additional vaccines and have updated NIAC advice. I will be meeting with various community groups later on this week and really what we want to make sure is that those who we have advice for to receive the vaccines ahead of time as a preventative measure, and that those pathways are in place."
