It's expected the Minister for Children will warn colleagues this morning it's becoming increasingly difficult to find accommodation for refugees.

Roderic O'Gorman is likely to tell the Cabinet he expects many hotels currently under contract with the Government will revert to tourism in March and April.

It's expected he'll press colleagues on the need to reduce reliance on private operators and build its own accommodation.

Despite that Minister O'Gorman will reiterate his view Ireland has done remarkably well in finding shelter for more than 70,000 people fleeing the war in Ukraine in 2022.
