New figures from the CSO show the cost of fertiliser has gone up 177-point-8-percent in the year to April.
The data also shows fertiliser prices jumped by 16-percent between March and April this year.
The term 'agflation' is being used to describe steep cost increases for the agriculture and farming sectors.
