Failte Ireland is writing to hotels nationwide to warn them about continued price-spiking.

The term price-spiking refers to hotel prices being raised when dates coincide with major events.

Lorraine Sweeney, a businesswoman and owner of three hotels in North Wicklow, thinks Failte Ireland is wrong to send out a warning.
