There is no reason to panic about the weather coming into the Summer, according to an expert.
Most of the country has seen largely unsettled spells, with dull and wet conditions over the last number of days.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says average temperatures are about the same as is normal in June.
However he adds there are more low pressure systems being dragged towards Ireland, which is bringing the current conditions:
