Electric Ireland have launched a €3 million hardship fund to help customers with rising energy costs.
Company representatives met with the joint committee of Environment and Climate Action in the Oireachtas earlier today.
Alongside the fund, a ban on electricity and gas cut offs has be reintroduced for the winter months.
Pat Fenlon, executive director of Electric Ireland is urging those who are facing difficulty to reach out to supporting bodies.
