Almost 50% of Irish adults spend over €125 a week on groceries

Almost half of adults in Ireland feel they're paying more for groceries than what official stats suggest.

Research on insights carried out by iReach found on average, people spend around €125 on groceries per week.

Nearly half of adults estimate the cost of their shop has gone up by between 11% and 20%.

That's compared to the 4.5% inflationary rise recorded by the CSO for the month of May.
