An asylum-seeker found dead in Monaghan yesterday was originally from Nigeria.
The 25-year-old's body was found on the grounds of the M Hotel, just outside Carrickmacross, after sustaining serious head injuries.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place today, which will determine whether he'd been the victim of foul play.
