UK High Court Refuses To Overturn Britain's Abortion Laws

The High Court in the UK has refused to overturn Britain's abortion laws.

It's ruled terminations beyond 24 weeks can continue where there's a severe foetal abnormality.

Campaigners challenged the current legislation saying they believe it's an "instance of inequality".

Heidi Carter, who has Down's syndrome, is one of the three claimants who brought legal action:

"I'm really upset not to win but the fight is not over. The judges might not think it discriminates against me, the government might not think it discriminates against me, but I'm telling you that I do feel discriminated against."
