The European Union Foreign Affairs Committee has agreed a €500m package of support for Ukraine's battle against Russian invaders.

Officials have confirmed this will include lethal and non lethal supplies, from medicine and fuel to weapons and even fighter jets.

Russian owned and controlled planes are now banned from flying over, taking off from or landing in EU territory.

Some Russian based banks have been blocked from the SWIFT system that manages international payment.

Facebook says a hacking group has been using the social media site to target military officials, politicians and a journalist in Ukraine.

It's removed about 40 fake accounts in the last 48 hours over what it calls "coordinated inauthentic behaviour".

Twitter says it's suspended more than a dozen accounts.
