Three parties likely to form a coalition in Germany have agreed to legalise the recreational use of cannabis

It's reported in Germany, that if a government is formed, the drug could be regulated for sale in licensed stores.

Negotiations are still ongoing to form a government there following an election in September.

The center-left Social Democrats (SPD), the Greens and the liberal Free Democrats (FDP) are the three parties to form a Government.

They plan to "introduce the regulated sale of cannabis to adults for consumption purposes in licensed stores."
