The Metropolitan Police is facing criticism after it intervened to urge Sue Gray to limit publication of her inquiry into alleged Downing Street parties.
Scotland Yard's asked the senior civil servant in Britain to make only "minimal reference" to events now subject to a criminal investigation.
It means her inquiry's findings could be delayed further.
Ed Davey - leader of the UK Liberal Democrats - says he's worried about any "growing perception of a stitch up":
"We now have this long delay before the Sue Grey report is published. It's an utter fiasco and it's got to stop and that's why Liberal Democrats are going to call this out. Number 10 has behaved appallingly. We all know that. And these delays just make it seem a lot, lot worse."
