Green Party MEP Ciarán Cuffe says vaccines that are about to expire in the EU should be sent to poorer countries.
The Dublin MEP says the European Union needs to do more to get vaccines out to as many people as possible in less developed countries:
"We're saying that we should do a lot more for the Developing World with these vaccines. It's a bit of a mantra at this stage that nobody is safe until everyone is safe, but the level of vaccination in some poorer countries is very low. And there's a real risk that we will lose hundreds of thousands of lives in those countries. So I think the European Union needs to lead the way. In short, we need to vaccinate the world."
