Another attempt to setup humanitarian corridors in Ukraine is starting around now, after efforts to do something similar failed in the last couple of days.

It’s reported Russia is to hold a temporary ceasefire - allowing the evacuation of thousands of civilians from the cities including Kyiv, Mariupol, Kharkiv and Sumy.

It's understood the decision was made following a request from French President Emmanuel Macron.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian town of Irpin has been under sustained attack - as Russian soldiers try to reach the eastern outskirts of the capital of Kyiv.

The number of those who have fled fighting and travelled to neighbouring Poland has now exceeded one million, according to the country's border guard.

A growing number of multinational companies have cut off Russia from vital financial services and technology products.

TikTok, Netflix, American Express, Mastercard and Visa are among the latest to further isolate the country.
