Cork-born tech company lands major UK partnership

Trustap is “a secure transaction platform that completely protects you from being scammed when you want to buy or sell with someone you don't know.” 

The business was created Cork, Conor Lydon, and has new offices in Patrick’s Quay. 

Trustap also have offices in the UK, Croatia and the United States as the company has doubled in size over the past year. 

Preloved is the name of the UK online marketplace that Trustap have just secured an exciting new partnership with. 

The company has 10 million customers and will use their software to facilitate buying and selling online, or in person, without the risk of being defrauded. 

The company is one of the largest classified advertising sites in the United Kingdom, selling items across 500 plus categories. 

The site holds the buyer's money in a ‘safe hold’ account until all of the transaction milestones are met.  

The buyer’s money is then instantly released to the seller. 

Trustap are currently preparing for a €10 million Series A December funding round.  

This funding will enable the company to then employ 50 people and continue to further expand.
