'The shooting happened in the Creggan Heights area of Derry just before a quarter to 8 last night. A man was injured when he was shot in the leg outside a home. He's been brought to hospital for treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening, but may be life changing. Emergency services attended the scene after a car was set on fire. Detectives in the North say this 'barbaric' shooting bears all the hallmarks of a paramilitary-style assault and are appealing for information.'
