Rebels to give "due consideration" on whether to appeal sanctions

The Cork county board are giving "due consideration" to the twelve week ban proposed for football manager Ronan McCarthy. 

The Douglas clubman been punished for overseeing a breach of the ban on collective team training. 

Cork GAA CEO Kevin O'Donovan said at last night's County Board meeting that they were considering whether they will appeal the ban, and the loss of home advantage for one Allianz League game, however The Irish Examiner are reporting that there will be an appeal.

A 'team-building' exercise took place last month on Youghal Beach, footage of which was shared on social media.

Down manager Paddy Tally is facing the same punishment for a squad get together in Newry last month.

Cork have until tonight to confirm to Croke Park if they'll be appealing the sanctions.
