Cork booked their place in the Allianz Hurling League semi finals with a game to spare yesterday.

The Rebels came from behind to beat Wexford at Pairc ui Chaoimh, winning 2-14 to 18 points, thanks to a late goal from Cormac Beausang.

Wexford led for most of the game, until Jack O'Connor levelled the game with a point just before the end of 70 minutes.

Beausang then struck what proved to be the winner in injury time, the first time Cork had led in the game.

It's now four wins from four for Cork in the league.

Speaking afterwards, boss Pat Ryan was happy his side's ability to dig out a win.

"We obviously didn't play well in the first half, particularly in the first 20 minutes. We struggled with what way Wexford were playing the game, we had a couple of chances to take points when we went for goals just to build a score, as such.

"But look, delighted with the way our fellas battled it out, and got a win again. In all our games so far for some reason we've been going behind, but we've responded very well. It's kind of a recurring theme now, we need to figure out why we're leaving teams get ahead of us, that's the question."
