Cork senior hurling manager Kieran Kingston has made a number of changes to his backroom team.

Former All Ireland winner with Cork Pat Mulcahy has been named as a selector, as has former Cork minor boss Noel Furlong who guided the Rebels to All Ireland Glory.

Newtownshandrum's Mulcahy won an All Star for his role during the Rebels' 2005 All Ireland Championship win, and spent time as CIT boss.

Gary Keegan returns as performance coach, having been involved with the Rebels in Kingston’s first spell in charge - he’ll continue to work with the Irish rugby team along with Cork.

Stephen Casey meanwhile has been appointed strength and conditioning coach.

The four replace Ger Cunningham and Christy O'Connor, sports psychologist Cathal Sheridan and Mark Brady as S&C coach.

The four appointments will be ratified at a meeting of the Cork County Board this evening, while the minor and under 20 managers will also be appointed, with former Cork camgoie boss Paudie Murray and former senior selector Donal O’Mahony set to be appointed at minor and under 20 level respectively.
