Police in Paris have shot a woman who they say was threatening to blow herself up on a train into the city centre.
Two officers fired eight shots - severely injuring the woman - who was later found not to be carrying any explosives.
France has been on a heightened anti-terror alert since a fatal stabbing at a school about three weeks ago.
