People who haven't been vaccinated are being advised to avoid meeting up indoors.

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer says the incidence rate of Covid-19 is increasing and we need to exercise caution.

Last night, there were 1,173 confirmed cases here, with 79 in hospital, including 23 in ICU.

Dr Ronan Glynn says people should prioritise who we meet this weekend and avoid large crowds:

"The key message over the coming days is for people who are not vaccinated to really be careful about indoor settings. If at all possible meet up outdoors. Make use of the good weather that we have at the moment. Do not meet up with other people indoors if you can avoid it at all. And if you are meeting with others indoors, make sure that those areas are well ventilated. And a key message for anyone, is that if you've any symptoms at all, please come forward and get a test."
