It's to help the struggling sector recover next year

A further shutdown of restaurants and pubs that serve food is expected to be signed off on by the Cabinet on Tuesday following NPHET advice.

December 30th is likely to be the closure date, while at the same time home visits will be restricted to one other household.

Co-owner of the Cornerstore and Coqbull restaurants in Cork, Mike Ryan, says the lack of a proper plan is killing the sector:
