Covid vaccine hesitancy has fallen by 45 percentage points in 12 months, according to a new survey.
The Ipsos MRBI poll for the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association shows a 12 points drop in the the number who say they'd refuse a vaccine.
It also found the number of people who were undecided about taking a vaccine fell from 35% to 2%.
Bernard Mallee, Director of Communications and Advocacy at the IPHA, says it's very encouraging:
"In November 2020 17% had said they would refuse a Covid-19 vaccine, and by last month that had fallen to 5%.
"Between November 2020 and last month the proportion of people undecided fell from 35% to 2%, and that places the overall drop in hesitancy to 45 points.
"It's very very encouraging that there's such a massive uptake in vaccination during the pandemic."
