The last appointments at the centre took place on Tuesday afternoon almost six months after the first vaccine was given there.

The HSE says the team administered a total of 158,081 doses in total and have expressed their thanks to the GAA for it's support in making the stadium available.

Planning for a new vaccine centre in the city is at an advanced stage.

Meanwhile appointments and walk-in vaccinations are continuing at City Hall.

Walk-in clinics will take place in the City Hall vaccination centre on:

Friday September 17th from 1pm to 4pm
Saturday September 18th from 11am to 2pm

The Bantry centre (in the new primary care centre) will have a walk-in clinic on Saturday, from 9am to 11am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

A walk-in clinic will run at Mallow GAA club on Sunday, from 9.15am to 11.15am.

There will also be walk-in vaccinations on Sunday at Clonakilty, 9am to 11am.
