There'll be a similar number tomorrow, after over 30,000 people attended the first ever walk-in clinics last week.

Two walk-in centres are open in Cork today:

City Hall is open for walk-ins from 10 o'clock to 4,

While Bantry Primary Care Centre is open from 3.15pm to half past 4.

Tomorrow, the vaccination centre at Mallow GAA Club will be open for walk-ins from 11 to 3, and Clonakilty GAA Club will host a walk-in clinic from 1pm to 3pm.

The HSE's national lead for the vaccination programme, Damian McCallion, says the clinics are ideal for people on holidays:

"You can go to any centre that's close to where you are, so you doesn't need to be near to your own home. You will get dose one of the Pfizer vaccine. And then the second doors will be administered close to your home in 21 to 28 days time. So that's an important point for people to understand is they will get their second doors close to their home. We would encourage people to take up this opportunity. We had a really good response last weekend, and we're hopeful that we'll get a similar response this weekend in terms of turnout from people."
