Number of Covid-19 diagnoses increases for the first time in ten weeks

The number of people who were diagnosed with Covid-19 in the Republic increased last week for the first time in ten weeks.

The Central Statistics Office says there were 78 confirmed cases - up nine from the previous week.

Dublin continues to be worst affected county, accounting for 51% of all Covid deaths.

Healthcare workers continue to make up a third of all cases.
