Isolation period for people with Covid could be reduced

The 7-day isolation rule for people who contract Covid-19 may be reduced to ease the pressure on employers.

The Irish Independent reports the government is examing the move after concerns were raised about staff shortages as the country deals with the latest wave of the virus.

In the US, those who test positive but have no symptoms only have to isolate for five days, while people with covid in England are no longer legally required to self-isolate.
