It's also understood Ministers are likely to talk about the restrictions on Communions and Confirmations after several bishops have decided they should go ahead.
The Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan, HSE Chief Paul Reid and head of the vaccine task force Brian MacCraith will also update Ministers on the current public health situation.
